Brief question on 3A disc brakes. Does anyone have the original specs for
brake disc thickness? The manuals I have specify that no more than .060"
should be skimmed from the discs, but can't find what the original thickness
should be or any specs. for minimum thickness. Reason for asking is that
on my 3A, which has the early 11" Girling discs, there is a noticeable
difference in disc thickness. Just happened to catch this as I was laying
under the car and kept noticing that the discs looked different. They sure
were. Maybe should start from scratch and get 2 new discs.
