Roger,
I have not tried it myself but was let in on a "secret" used by an
upholsterer. He claimed that by rewetting a warped panel with an
ammonia + water solution and holding it flat while it dried the warp
could be eliminated.
I have just cut new ones out of hardboard in the past but have been
thinking that a better substrate should be available. I have heard of very
thin plywood being used but would like to find an appropriate
thickness/rigidty sheet plastic.
Let us know if you try the ammonia and water.
