You can always send +/-$40 to BMIHT in the home country for a complete
build record, which should include the original engine number. Sorry, I
don't have the address handy at home.
My guess, though, is that it is the original or darned close. Numbers
were not "matched" at the factory, and there is often a difference of at
least as much as your numbers indicate.
