I have found a source for copper head gaskets for the 1500 TR engine.
They will cost about $45 each. However, they are reuseable.
the advantages are as follows: better heat transfer, will never blow
(but never say never), are available in a variety of thicknesses, from 5 thou
up to 62 thou so you can actually alter your CR without grinding, can be
made to custom fit overbored cylinders without the gasket hanging into
the cyclinder (important if you want to run zero deck height with the
postons).

Copper head gaskets have been available for years for 1275 A series engines
and are popular with racers. now you can have one for your 1500.

I have only one concern. It is recomended that a sealant is used. I am told
that the sealant works very well and does not blow out. However, I am
alittle unsure.

Anyway. If anyone wants more info. e-mail me, but I think i told you all
i know above.

Cheers Dennis
