Ladies and gentlemen, I'm the new owner of a 1980 TR7 convertible. I
brought it home in November and have been starting it up occasionally and
running it around the block. This past Sunday I started it, backed out of
the garage and let it run for twenty minutes or so. Put it back in the
garage and found a huge puddle of oil in the driveway. I jacked it up
tonight and saw a lot of oil around the side of engine with the oil
filter and the oil pan is real wet. Also what I think is the oil pump is
wet. I dried as much as I could and will fire it up tommorrow to see
where the oil is coming from. This car was supposed to be mechanically
sound. It just needs a lttle body work. Now I'm not so sure. Any
suggestions? I'm not a mechanic. I wanted this car for summer road
rallies in the greater Cleveland, Oh area. I sure hope this isn't major
