Hi again,

I saw another posting asking (in paraphrase):

If the Isky cam is $90, that's better than $300...

Well, consider this: to do the cam correctly, you need to replace the
lifters for sure. That's 12 * $12 (sorry no price book here) or $144.
Plus you really should make sure your valve springs and all that stuff is
in good shape... potentially more money. Oh, and you want lightweight
titanium valve keepers, roller-tip rockers are a good idea. And what the
heck, while you're in there, how about some chrome-moly tubular pushrods.

In short, you're going to be spending some money on this job one way or
the other. It is recommended to "do it right" simply because if you goof
up, you get to do it again! At incremental cost!!

Right Jeff??

And don't forget to use lots of cam lube on assembly and don't forget to
"run the cam in" at 2000 RPM's for 20 minutes minimum when you first
start the engine...

Later,
rml
