Dear Fellow TR Listers;
During the past month, the eager little black TR3A ('59 vintage) has
been hiding under the dust cover in the very cold garage. While it has
been started and warmed up for 30 minutes or so 2 or so times a week,
it's CCO (current cold owner) was not had the gumption to take it for a
drive in the zero to 15 degree F temperatures, ever though the knee top
heater pumps out lots of hot air. Well, things are a changing...
Sunday, Feb. 2, is the date of the St. Louis Triumph Owners Association
(SLTOA) Polar Bear Run. Thing is, the weather forecast is for the high
50's to low 60's F. So, you don't have to be a bear to participate.
Looking forward to take a warm winter day drive with the likes of Dave
Massey, Brian Borgsatede, Creig Houghtaling, Larry Snyder (if he is
town) and the other good folks of the SLTOA who read the list. The TR
folks also had the good heart to invite the St. Louis Area Austin Healey
Club to participate. So maybe Keith Bester, John Lohr, John Thousand,
Bob McElwee, etc. will turn out for the fun drive and after tour chili
cook out too.
The gods of open sports car driving are good! As is being said a lot
recently on the TV ads for the non British import cars... ENJOY THE
DRIVE.
