Hi,

Circle B heads are sought after parts by folks that are into tweaking
thier TR6 to the max. I got this info from Dave the TR6 guy from TRF and
from Jeff Janik, a TR250 AutoX guy.

The TR6 heads were cast in at least two different foundries. To tell them
apart, you look at the head under the valve cover near the forward end of
the engine. Some heads have a raised circular shape on the casting that
is blank. Others have a "B" that looks alot like the B in Bentley. That
"B" is surrounded by a circle in the casting, hence "circle B".

The heads are sought after because the castings are "thicker" in critical
areas and they allow for more radical ports jobs. So, if you want to make
a TR6 engine "flow" the most, you start with a "circle "B"" and you port
the crap out of it without worrying about grinding into a water jacket or
some other calamity.

bye,
rml
