Hello Martin, Andy, et al. I have a years-old note in my Haynes manual, that I wrote in the back pages upon learning from ? unknown source, that the N 9 Y plug is for the P.I. cars, and the N 12 Y is the correct one for the carb models. Specifically, the note gives UN 12 YC (for Copper) as the plug to get for a '68 model, although as I recall, when I sold the car it had been running well for years on NGKs, don't know which exact number.
