The February 97 issue of Old Cars Price Guide is less optimistic on the value
of
a 72 TR 6:
1)excellent: 95-plus point show car that is not driven $8,000
2)fine: well-restored or superb original $5,600
3)very good:presentable and serviceable inside and out $3,200
4)good: a driver $1,600
5)restorable: needs everything but has only minor rust $975
6) parts car $350
A car in the condition you describe will probably not fetch over $1000 to
$1500
if one is selling it in the deep south - a prospective buyer will be able to
find
other examples with far less rust.
