One more thing to add to the thread on what to use in our transmissions.
The following is quoted from Redline when ask about the suitability of
MT 90 for a TR6 with overdrive:
"I would install the MT-90, it is not a slippery gear lube and should
work
well in your TR6. In a manual transmission the lube doesn't want to be
slippery in order to work well with cone type syncros. The overdrive is
a
planetary gear set with a band to engage the overdrive, MT-90 should
allow
the band and overdrive to work well."
