I have just replaced my drivers side window winder regulator for the third
time, using second hand parts as the mechanism is no longer available. Most
of the wear happens on one side of the toothed semi-circlular part and I
would like to try to either turn this part around or look into getting one
remanufactured.
My problem is the pin that holds this assembly in position, it is notched
at one end to hold the spring in tension, at the other it is just beaten
into shape to hold the assembly together. Does anyone have any ideas on
replacing this pin with something serviceable?.
