A local British mechanic (over 25 years) has a good answer for temp needles
over the half way mark;

Me: "Hey Mark........my temp gauge is running about 3/4 ers. Do I have a
problem"?
Mark: "Is your rad boiling over"?
Me: "Nope".
Mark: "Then ya got no problem"!........"Smiths gauges are marginal at best":-)
