Ken,
Thanks for the info, but it appears that I wasn't fully
clear in my first question. You are right that there
are those bushings in the hole where the pedal rotates
on the pedal pivot bar, and that these do often fail,
causing play in the pedals at that point.
However, there aren't any bushings where the pin
connects the master cylinder pushrod (brake or clutch)
to the hole in the brake or clutch pedal. These holes
also tend to get elongated over time. Has anybody
effected repairs to these? If so, how? Has anybody
made a fix by inserting a bushing to make the problem
easier to fix next time?
