My newly running '72 Mk4 which has a '74 1500 engine I'm told) has about 300
miles on it since being revived after 3 years. It has run very well, except it
has begun to hesitate when I step on the gas - it feels just like I stepped on
the brake. If I slowly increase the gas, it gets by the "dead spot" and runs
fine at the higher speed. The engine does not falter if I rev it sitting
still, only under load.
The ignition wires look in good shape, fuel and air filters were changed, and
the car has a PO installed electronic ignition.Any thing I should look for?
