Giancarlo, find the diagram of the oil filter assembly. You will see a
pressure relief valve on the side of the top part. It is the screw which you
can see at a 90degree angle from a line which would run down through the
center of the filter element. There is a slotted screw and a locknut which
holds the screw tight. Here is the procedure from the shop manual:

"1. Run the engine until normal operating temperature is obtained.

 2. Slowly increase engine speed to approximately 2000 r.p.m. and observe the
oil pressure guage. Pressure should rise steadily to 75 lb./sq. in. and at
2000 r.p.m. fall to 70 lb./sq. in.

3. If necessary, adjust the relief valve pressure by slackening the locknut.
Rotate the screw clockwise to increase the relief valve opening pressure and
counter-clockwise to reduce it. When correct adjustment is obtained, tighten
the locknut."

You will have to adjust the screw, check to see if the pressure is correctly
falling from 75 to 70 p.s.i. and then re-adjust until you have the correct
reaction. I have done this and it takes time. Be patient.

The owners manual, which is what I think you have, says:

"At speeds exceeding 30mph, when the oil is hot, the gauge needle should
register between 65 and 75. A low pressure is normal when idling or running
at a lower speed."

My car runs at 50 psi or above at highway speed after the oil is good and hot.
At idle, say at a traffic light, my pressure is as low as 10 or 15 psi. I
have had no problems.

That should do it. You will need an open end or adjustable wrench for the
locknut and a fairly large screwdriver for the set screw. Let me know how it
works out. The important thing, as you have realized by now, is that the
pressure will go to 75 and then drop to 70. So 90 is too high. Cheers.
