Spit 1500 intake manifold

I am searching for a spare intake manifold that will accomodate a single
carburator for my 1978 Spit 1500.  

  I have a friend who put fuel injection on his sprite a couple years
back and he thinks it would not be to difficult to put one on the spit. 
He uses parts from a Rabbit engine.  It seemed to work pretty well on
his Sprite.
