Try to get an impact socket (black) and use it w/ the impact wrench.
Regular sockets (silver) aren't good with mega-power.
You're lucky Sears didn't ask you how the thing broke... although they'd
probably replace it; I think Snap-On won't replace silver sockets that
have been used in an impact wrench.
I would have suggested heat, but as you don't want to damage the rim,
that's out the window. Carefully drilling a hole in the nut and applying
some sort of liquid wrench might work too.
