Foe to many reasons to list, I found it necessary to move the model 10 last
week. I called a friend with a tow truck and he came to the office and
picked it up and took it back to his shop.

This afternoon I stopped in to make arrangements for him to bring it to my
home. He said he had a surprise for me. We walked out to his storage lot
and he jumped behind the wheel and fired it up! IT RUNS!. They had drained
the fuel, changed the oil and filed the points and he said it started on the
first go around. The tranny is stuck in 2nd gear, but I then got in it and
DROVE it home (fortunately, it's only six blocks and I never had to shift!)
No plates, (no title) very little in the way of brakes and one gear, but IT
RUNS.

For the first time in 25+ years, I have a running Triumph. Gawd, it feels
good.

I had always presumed it would be like the TR3 in that it would be a 5 years
restoration, but I'm looking today at the possibility of trying a "rolling
restoration." But, for now, I just need to gloat a little.
