Yep been there!! I used the vinyl paint from the local auto-store to
change from tan to black, I was well chuffed to beging with!
2) how long did it last and
The paint on the seat material proper lasted (and stil has as far as I know)
but didn't stick to the duct tape that was on the seat, it also wore down
a bit where the racing harness rubbed.
3) did you attempt to do the piping

hell no! i wanted a quick fix! this seemed like a lot of hard work!!!
