Oil Pump Priming Follow up

Just wanted to let everyone who replied know that you can get oil pressure
from cranking with the starter. It eventually started picking up oil
(after maybe a total of 1-2 minutes of cranking). Now I'm real close to
getting it to fire (esecially now that the distributor drive gear is in
correctly - #1 at TDC with #1 firing does that really matter... :) ).

Anyway, thanks to everyone that replied.
