Although I don't have the production breaks, Robson indicates that there
were only 1434 GT6's made in 1966 (the first year), so it is probably
correct that yours is a '67.  Sam Gentry can probably say for sure.  To
be absolutely sure, you can get a BMIHT production certificate for $40.

It isn't really all that difficult, but it is time consuming and since

If I remember my dual unit from the MGTD I had in a previous life, the
two elements are both mechanical.  I'm not sure if the temperature
sender has the same fitting as that used on the GT6, but that would
probably be the only hangup.  The oil line can be plumbed to fit rather
easily.
