VTR Route

Listers,

I'm leaving Framingham early Wednesday morning and want to stay off as many
interstates as possible.  Looking at a map, I plan to pick up Rt. 125 in
Mass. at Haverhill and then 202 at Rochester, NH.  I will take Rt. 111 to
Rt. 1 to Portland.

That's all pretty clear.  The problem is that I will have to take a big
chunk of 495 in Mass., which I'd rather avoid with the LBC.  All alternate
routes look pretty circuitous.  Any suggestions?
