Sebastian,

Yes, you can easily remove and reinstall the oil pan (sump).  You need to
raise the car up a bit or find a friendly guy with a lift.   It is a
straight forward job to replace the gasket.  It is important to straighten
any dimpling around the bolt holes in the pan and to use some modern gasket
dressing to on the new gasket.   Also you don't want to over tighten the
bolts... this can squeeze the gasket and tear it.  Use a torque wrench but
go slow and tighten in the pattern shown in the workshop manual......
watch the gasket around the bolts as you tighten.  If is starts to squeeze
out you have destroyed the gasket.
