Those who braved the torrential rains and winds of Floyd this past Friday
were rewarded with stunning sunshine on Saturday and Sunday for the 9th
British Invasion in Stowe, VT. Due to the weather, the show was moved from
its usual site (a pasture) to the main parking area of the Stowe ski area.
The turnout was quite large despite the weather, but I did hear a few "We
would have brought the car, but..." comments. There were a number of
Triumphs out of restoration for the first time and a good group of old
faces as well. List members were in evidence and everyone had a fun
weekend. Best of Show went to an AC Ace that was almost too nice.

Those familiar with the show know the Land Rover contingent usually has
their own area off to the side of the field. Well, they were there in the
mud all weekend and there was a taxi service to take spectators and others
over to the bog.
