Nick, sounds as if you might have seats either from a 1969-70 "Federal"
Spitfire Mk.3 or a 1971-72 Mk.IV. The two seats differ somewhat in design,
but both have the integral headrest.

I think that Newton Commercial <http://www.newtoncomm.co.uk/triumph.htm>
offers upholstery kits for these seats, and likely some of the regular
Spit parts vendors do as well.
