As an alternative to the baby wipes are the "wet towels" you get at KFC, BBQ
or other messy food places...  Pick up a few extra next time you are in one
and throw them in the cubby...

I've been carrying a bunch of baby wipes with me in a baggie in the glove
box.
Not particularly absorbent, but better than paper towels for cleanup after
adding daily oil or more critical work to get home.... Sometimes after a
careful
cleaning up by the road, my wife won't even know I broke down. Just helps
maintain my old cars' overall perceived value.  :-)
