Many of you may be familiar with George's white '71 TR6. This car was the
subject of a nut and bolt restoration completed in 1995. It has only
been driven 100 or 200 miles since then. He has been talking about
selling it for the last 6 months or so and yesterday it was time for him
to put up or shut up, as they say.
George has turned DOWN a legitimate offer of $18,000.00 for the car. When
I spoke to him he was quite offended by the "low ball" offer. I'm sure
there are a bunch of us who would be willing to let our TR6s go for that
money ( I know I did).
(Before anyone starts bashing George about not driving the car, he also
ownes a 73 TR6 (from new) that he drives the beans out of, several
hundred miles per week. On second thought, feel free to bash him. It's
kinda fun to watch him turn red and see steam come out of his ears)
