Second attempt, sorry if it repeats...
Before I forget to mention it again, the Misery Bay Region of the SCCA is
having it's Covered Bridge Rally this Sunday.
This is a standard TSD rally, designed more for novices. I like to use it as
an excuse to drive around the countryside on some awesome shady, twisty
Triumph roads. There is a special instruction in this rally where teams are
required to stop for 5 minutes every time they pass through a wooden covered
bridge (gives folks a chance to get out and look at each bridge, take
photos, chat with other teams, etc).
The entry fee of $20 per car goes towards a fund to help rebuild Carman's
Bridge, which was burned down in 1996. Keep in mind that this is an all-day
adventure starting at 10 am and ending at a restaurant sometime around
5-6pm. There will be some dirt roads so don't bring the trailer queen.
If you want more information, please drop me a line. This rally is an annual
event for us and is always a day well-spent. It is not a highly competitive
event, although trophies and prizes are given to everyone.
Maybe Chip can hook up with Paula and spend the day with us... ;-)
Thanks,
Wendy Hart
