Reminds me of the classic line out of the equally classic 1960s Dick O'Kane 
book _How to Repair Your Foreign Car; a guide for the beginnner, the inept, 
and your wife_ (or something close to that). ISTR the line made reference to 
a specific job on a Jaguar, whereby the mechanic would "take the CAR off the 
STARTER." :-) (Emphasis is mine, BTW.)
