| Hi Bernd, I bought an excellent old stock grille for my "3A" at Carlisle Import swap meet in Pennsylvania a couple of years ago. I'm just now getting around to fitting the fenders and grille and noticed the same condition. I think the grilles are meant to fit snuggly in the front apron assembly...I had to use a soft-faced hammer to get mine to fit. Looks great....try it.
