Okay campers, what is the proper pronunciation of Vitesse?
I've heard "Veetess" (long-e, short-e) and "Vitees" (short-i, long-e). The
French version (seemingly the sources of the name's derivation) should be
"Vitess" (short-i, short-e), no? Which would typically be Anglicized (or
Quebecicized) into "Veetess" (long-e, short-e), no?
The future of the universe as we know it does not depend on the answer, of
course.
