Bill - if the area where the hinge sets is raised to match the raised area
on the rear cowl - should be no problem. My guess is that you may have an
early one (non-raised) as I believe the support bracing was changed with the
requisite body changes at TS60000...

Subject: TR3 Boot Lid Questions

I am thinking about buying a boot lid (trunk) for my project TR3, which
has rack mounting holes in it. My original lid as some sort of X-brace made
out of round steel bar, while the possible replacement has an X-brace made
out of folded sheet metal. The possible replacement doesn't have the dzuz
fastener holes so I know that it is for a late car. Is one pre-TS60,000 and
one post TS60,000? Will the replacement lid work on my TS72747? Is there any
kind of plinth non-combatability?
     TIA
