It was Oh Dark Thirty and we were off on the Breakfast Run. It was a quick
run up to Hoosier Pass (a mere 11,500 feet above sea level) for a photo op
and ice cold doughnuts. They were ice cold because the weather was ice
cold. On the way up we say what looked like snow - but it was only hail
left over from the storm yesterday. We all had our picture taken in front
of the pass marker and then back down the hill.

Back in Berckenridge (2,000 feet closer to the sea) the weather warmed up
quickly and we busied ourselves with tech sessions, the Funkahna and I
attended the judges meeting. Dan Masters met Bill Mc Elliot (form So Cal)
who has a Ford 5.0 V8 powered TR4. I left them to compare notes (which
probably took about 3 hours or more.

That evening we attended the BBQ and dance about 500 feet up the
mountainside at a ski lodge where the spread included BBQ chicken, ribs and
salmon. The sky was clear and the starts came out. The air up here in the
mountains is so clear (because there is so little of it - I've been up here
four days and I am still having difficulty) and the clouds and mountains
are quite dramatic. A lovely setting for a fun convention.

Tomorrow: the Panaramic Photo and the Autocross.
