1972 gt6 is overheating. how to diagnose ? i was lucky to die near a
radiator shop and he measured the temp across the radiator and said it
'appeared to be working'. whatever that means. so does this mean i
need to replace the water pump ? how can you test the water flow to see
if it is the water pump? i let it cool overnight, removed the
thermostat and drove it and exact same behavior. basically the longer i
drive it the hotter it gets. by 30 mins it is overheating. speed,
driving does not matter. one day on city streets with red lights,
second day on highway at steady 55mph.
i had a few days ago asked about fitting the radiator cowling. i
bought that because the car was running warm. unfortunately the car is
now going over and dying from overheating.
thank you to all who are helping me out. i do appreciate it!
