Bruce:
OK, does the "currently, with a 15amp fuse, the lights sometimes work"
yield some blown fuses? This indicates a power lead in that circuit is
frayed and grounding intermittently . Check the wire at pinch points-
bulkhead pass through,etc.
Also, how dirty is the switch on the tranny? If it's crudded up, your
extra resistance could originate there.
