Michael:

Buying an air compressor is like owning a Barbie Doll. You constantly
want to buy all the available "stuff" and accessories for it and
there's plenty of both available. No, I'm not into Barbie Dolls, but
anyone with a daughter knows what I mean.

I have a Craftsman 3/8 ratchet that has a two year warranty. I also have
a Pro model Campbell Hausfeld impact gun that also came with a two year
warranty. The latter was $68 +/- at Wall-Mart (easy to return if you get
a lemon). Both of these are excellent quality tools. I recommend that
you visit the Campbell Hausfeld web site. They have some incredible
deals on reconditioned air tools. I prefer Craftsman for hand tools, but
I'll consider other brands when buying other tools.

When buying air hose, consider Harbor Freight, Home Depot or Wall-Mart.
Sears prices are out of line.

Have fun.
