Thread-topic: One Last Question on Differentials
Hi All,

Thanks for the many responses on the pinion gear torque question. You
guys are certainly creative!!

This question has to do with the pinion oil seal.

There are two type of seals currently available. One is actually made
out or rawhide by Chicago Rawhide. It has an internal spring to keep
the rawhide firmly pressed onto the pinion gear. The second type is
made out of a rubber, or a Teflon, material.

For those of you that have replaced your pinion oil seal, what is your
current recommendation between the two types?

Thanks,

Bill
