List,

I am currently rebuilding a GT6 hydraulic system with DOT5 fluif. The
system has been working fine, however it had leaked a whole bunch in the
past (P.O.)

I am pulling the body to redo the complete underside and engine bay, and I
like the "paint insurance" of a DOT5 system.

When rebuilding these systems, what is the general consensus regarding
reusing parts through extensive cleaning? Suggestions for cleaning?

My the last rebuild to a car of the same year (1970) came to $395 CDN not
including the steel lines which I bent myself plus the brake-line fittings.
Parts list below

Master Cyl repair kit 67-72 - $75
Caliper repair kit 67-72 - $49
Rear Cylinders 17MM -$80
Rear Flex hoses -$83
Front Flex hoses -$53

Total $340 Plus tax(15%) = $395 CAN
Parts dealer is very competitive in the Ontario area for prices.

Thanks,
Steve Reilly
