I remember a movie with a dark green mustang from the 60's or 70's I
can't remember the name. The cop is being chased in his mustang by a black
Dodge Charger which takes a header into a gas station. Not pretty now, but
back then it must have been cool.

The movie is Bullitt. (Steve McQueen-did his own stunt driving) You have the
chase backwards. The bad guys in the charger were following the cop in the
Mustang. he pulls a round the block on them and starts following them. They
buckle up and the chase is on! through the streets of San Fran ( when you
watch it on a big screen, you feel your stomach rise and fall as the cars
bounce over the hills of SF, especially on the drivers POV shots) and out
onto the coast highway. It does end up with the bad guys loosing it into a
gas station. Big Boom, big fireball. 2 dead bad guys, one fried charger.

A major point of discussion on the Quattro list is the S8 destroyed in
Ronin. My personal greivance is with the music video for Gerri Halliwells
Fame remake where there's a dancer dancing on the hood of an obviously
modified 4000 or, in the UK, an Audi 80/90. The owner of that car must be
upset, I would be and mines a peice of junk.

I remember some years ago when I lived in Orlando FL, there was an add
posted for one of the WB's General Lee's for sale from "The Dukes Of
Hazzard". I took a look into it out of curiosity and found that it had
actually never been used in filming along with two other carbon copies of
something like 10 Chargers. My understanding is that they had two that were
the sling shot dummys, and the rest were driven. I can't verify any of that
though.

A few years back I had a conversation with a production Manager who worked
with the company that did "Dukes". Told me they had several people combing
the used car lots looking for "General Lee" candidates. Seemed they used up
at least one per show when they started jumping them.
