There was a BBC television series, very popular in the early eighties I
think, starring John Nettles as a Detective Sergeant  called "Bergerac" in
Jersey, Channel Islands. He drove a Triumph Roadster all over the island for
years.

The series was called oddly enough "Bergerac"! Maybe there are some tapes
still around.
