Not normally something I do, but if anyone is in need of a GT6 engine,
I have just finished getting the one in my 63 spit tuned up. Oil pressure is
good and steady around 50PSI (verified on a mechanical Smith's gage from some
sort of MGB), the ZS carbs have been rebuilt by myself, it idles very smoothly,
revs well, sounds good. It's to be offered as a running engine, unknown
mileage.
Judging by the gulp valve, it's a 73 or thereabouts. Compression
figures are 145,130,115,150,150,125. Numbers stamped on block read "517528".
Pictures, audio and maybe even video of it running available upon request.
I plan on putting something with the words "twincam" on the top into
the car, so I have no use for a GT6 engine... All interested parties please
respond directly...
Also have a set of GT6 seats in sad condition, quite rotted. If anyone
needs parts or wants a set of frames to restore, well, this would be your
calling.
There is also a GT6 transmission attached to the engine... Ally
bellhousing, I believe if that is of interest.
