I'm set to order K&N filters for my TR4, but I'm not
sure of the size. I measured 1 5/8", but I think my
choices are 1 1/2" or 1 3/4". Stamped AUC410 on the
bowls, AUC6040 on the carb bodies.
1. Since I believe these are the original SU's on my
early TR4 -- CT5018LO -- which size should it be?
2. My car has a short hood bulge, and when I bought
the car the ~6" filter housings vibrated against the
bonnet. Should I go for the tapered K&N? Anyone using
an oval K&N assembly in this setup?
