Hi List!
I've been meaning to send this e-mail for some time, but I've just
been busy on rebuilding my engine & other things. In any case: I want to
tell any one who is rebuilding the head of there engine & is debating
what to do about the Rocker Arm Assembly. I Strongly suggest, NO, make
that Recommend that you send the complete unit to 'Rocker Arm
Specialist'. I sent my old unit [Sat in water for over 1 1/2 yr.off an
engine that was torn down for over 20 yr.] to them, & with in one week
received a rebuilt unit for Under $100.00 US [not counting shipping]. To
me it was well wroth it, because my machinist said that he would charge
me $60.00 in labor. Then I would have had to purchase a Rocker Arm
Shaft, 2 Rocker Arm Bushings per Arm, & probably springs [if I could get
them], which would have cost me way more than [say conservatively]
$75.00. So, do the math & You can see the amount that I saved. I took
the rebuilt unit to my machinist for his opinion, & he stated that I got
a Great Deal! If you want the URL, then here it is & ask for "Blane".
