Last night driving home the red indicator came on, and stayed on at all
speeds. This morning I took a quick look, started fine, belt is fine, pulley
appears fine, all connections at generator and regulator secure, but red
light still on and a strange rattling noise, apparently from the innards of
the generator. I haven't taken a volt meter to it yet, but will do so after a
bone up with the manuals. Generator appears to be original (at least the
casing appears to be).
Any suggestions or advice? TIA
