Larry, I'm not convinced your engine is running hot. I mean 190 is not
terribly hot. I would thing 212 is hot. FWIW I put a 180 degree
thermostat and its right in the middle of the gauge when hot. I cant
shut off all the water to the heater core with the heater control cable
unless I go in the engine compartment and phisically make sure its all
the way off. Even then the passenger compartment does get a little
warm.
