GT6+ Strange starting problem

my gt6 wont start on its own.  I have to jump it all the time.  when its not 
in use the battery is turned off, i have a switch.  when i try to turn the 
engine, it turns over very slowly but will not strat unless its jumped.  any 
suggestions?
