Thank you Peter,

I really am a fan of Moss Motors you know. My customer number is 151599 and
that I'm told by staff goes back what? maybe almost 25 years? My TR-6 would
most assuredly NOT be on the road today except for Moss Motors. The fates
were kind when they blessed my move from Chicago to Santa Barbara in the TR
in 1976 to find shortly thereafter that I had come to the only place then
available for TR parts and, right in my own back yard. In all those years
the only part I had problems with is that damn safety latch for the hood
802-275. I have had two of them literally fall apart on me within weeks of
installation. Still have the pieces from the last one on file. Finally gave
up and just make do without.

As I said, my guy was complimentary on some of the seat materials but
questioned others. I'll report further as to what he thought could use
improving when I get them back. Won't be for a couple of weeks. This guy
retired two years ago and does some work for good customers at home but
warns in advance that he will take his time. Since the long block is still
not complete I can wait.

Speaking retirement. I could in a couple of years. Thought about starting
over again doing something fun. Think Moss would be interested in a TR owner
going on 40 years?

Since you asked....
These are made to spec by a foam manufacturer in England for Moss Europe and
we get them from them. Not sure about which are the colored pieces. I know
I used our foam set in my '71 TR6 and they worked fine. I know some of the
skirting pieces are real thin and are just for smoothing out the vinyl over
the frame, but the main seat pieces fit well and pulled into the proper
shape. Still look great after about 6 years. Others on the list who know
my car (you can also see interior shots and the seat itself isolated in the
Moss catalog - white car, new tan seats) will, I'm sure, attest to the fact
they do look good and my wife will tell you they are comfortable. I will
pass your comments along to R&D to see if anything has changed, but I don't
think they have. Of the 164 we sold last year, only one came back because
it wasn't liked. We did get some returns because we got a batch that had
been packaged incorrectly - two right sides. But those were traded for
correct ones, or correct pieces were sent out.
Hope it works OK for you...
Anytime I can help...
