The installation of the Moss supplied spin on oil filter (oil cooler ready)
on my 73 TR-6 was a wash.(Purchased through BPC) The threaded nipple onto
which the filter is intended to be threaded is not long enough to engage the
threads on either of two filters (Fram 3600 & NAPA 1516 tried). The nipple
measures 5/8" from the filter base into which it is cast. It appears that
the threaded nipple must be at least 1" long to engage the filter threads.
Anyone else seen this? Dick is hot on the trail to get a replacement from
Moss.
