I know this issue has been discussed before. However, I can't seem to
find any recent postings that answer my questions about the Protek
(British Auto Restorations) rack and pinion conversion kit.
1. Is the electric fan that is supplied sufficient for proper
cooling?
2. Are any modifications necessary (other than the fan removal) or
is this a true bolt-in kit?
3. I understand I would need a split shaft steering column to make
this work. Does anyone know of a source for this part? My car has the
one-piece shaft.
